CNBC did the most damage to AOL when the T-UMG merger beat out Comcast. One of the reporters(the young pencil neck dude) said that AOL was left out in the cold on cable by not being involved. The story was extremely grim and made it sound as though AOL had no chance in cable. It was all commentary and ZERO fact. The story could have been played in a positive light by saying AOL was wise not to pay up for a very expensive company. Or that the T-UMG merger would be held up by regulators for at least a year. It was the most biased, damaging commentary I have ever seen.
