I hope I'm not repeating previous replies to your broadband discussions.

Iridium was not designed / intended to be a broadband data service. It is primarily for voice.

Relevant questions are: 1) Can the system deliver voice reliably? If not, is the problem in the satellites or ground system. (One is much easier to fix), 2) are customers available for voice at a some price point?, 3) if a businessman is in the middle of the Sahara (extreme example), will he want voice or data, or both?
