FWIW I have used DLJDirect since 1992 (When it was called PCFN) The service was more expensive back then per trade than now; but at the time, I wanted to test an on-line service with a small account. My main account was with Salomon,Smith,Barney, but by the end of the year, I had transferred everything to DLJDirect and have been there ever since..never had a miscue. If you have enough assets with them, you can become a Select Client which is better service than I ever had with Smith Barney ie: access to instinet trading, special phone line and e-mail with no wait. Their off-line software is really easy to use and makes execution a lot faster than the traditional internet access. I got a few shares from the IPO and will be a long term holder. I just hope the service continues to be as strong now that their publicly traded. LJM
