People seem to want Explorers and are willing to pay more for them. The same
can't be said for too many CPU purchasers (PIII vs. Celeron or AMD k-6's) I don't
believe.


You're quoting CNBC and analysts here. At the Intel stockholders meeting last week, Paul Otellini, VP and General Manager of Intel's architecture and computing division said Intel was very pleased with the PIII ramp, which, he said, has been the fastest in Intel's history. He said the same thing in the conference call after earnings April 13. Believe whom you will.
