LEXINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 27, 1999--

Solution to service the delivery of pioneering satellite
communications systems via Globalstar in North America

Logica today announced a multi-million dollar contract to provide an integrated customer care and billing solution for AirTouch
Satellite Services, Inc. (ATSS), a subsidiary of AirTouch Communications, Inc. (NYSE:ATI). Logica's solution will provide ATSS's
Globalstar customers with customer care and billing services.
ATSS is a Founding Service Provider of Globalstar L.P, a dynamic consortium of international telecommunications service
providers and equipment manufacturers dedicated to providing high quality, affordable, voice, fax, and data services via a small
handheld phone. In late 1999, Globalstar service will be available throughout North America. Globalstar Canada, the service provider
in Canada, is a joint venture with ATSS, Loral Space & Communications Ltd. (Loral) and Canadian Satellite Communications Inc.
ATSS and Loral joined Telefonica Autrey S.A. de C.V. to create Globalstar de Mexico, the service provider in Mexico. In the United
States, ATSS will be responsible for marketing and distributing Globalstar service.
Logica's customer care and billing solution is comprised of BSCS (Business Support & Control System), a billing product provided
by its partner LHS Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:LHSG), and Comptel's (Oy Comptel Ab) MDS/SAS mediation device. Logica will act as
the master systems integrator, managing all partners and products involved in the project. The core component systems will be
developed, tested, and deployed from the company's recently opened Solutions Center in San Francisco, CA. Logica's Solutions
Center provides clients with state-of-the-art information technology solutions, offering a showcase for best-of-breed products and
partners, and allowing for the rapid development, deployment, and support of new applications.
"This customer care and billing solution is critically important to achieving our business objectives," confirmed Mike Kerr, Vice
President and General Manager of ATSS. "The solution that Logica is providing from its Solutions Center will enable our distribution
channels and customer care centers to provide the same world-class customer support as we do in our cellular and paging businesses."
"This project is extremely important for Logica," stated Mike Maloney, executive vice president, communications, for Logica. "It
demonstrates our global leadership in partnering with clients to deliver value to their customers. We look forward to developing our
relationship with ATSS and Globalstar as they continue to provide innovative and differentiating services to the market."
"Our relationship with ATSS is key to our continued success in providing repeatable business solutions globally," commented Corey
V. Torrence, President and CEO of Logica Inc. "We are pleased to partner with ATSS to ensure that they rapidly achieve and sustain
a competitive market position."
