Industrial Data Systems Corporation Reports Fourth Quarter and Year End 1998 Results
HOUSTON, April 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Industrial Data Systems Corporation (Amex: IDS) today announced results for its fourth quarter and the year ended December 31, 1998. A Form 10-KSB has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission reflecting these results.

The Company reports increases in sales for both the fourth quarter and the year. For the fiscal year ended December 31, 1998, net sales rose 27.6% to $13.4 million from $10.5 million in the previous year. Net income after tax for the twelve months of 1998 increased 9.8% to $419 thousand, or .032 cents per share on a basic and diluted basis, compared with net income of $382 thousand, or .031 cents per share, in 1997.

For the fourth quarter of 1998, sales rose 44.4% to $3.9 million from $2.7 million in the comparable period of the previous year. The net after tax loss for the fourth quarter was $94 thousand, or .015 cents per share on a basic and diluted basis, compared with a loss of $13 thousand, or .001 cents per share, in the same period 1997.
