Albert,
I have looked at Tom's "comparison" of K6 and Klamath and there isn't anything there. There is no comparison, only some performance measurements of the Klamath, not K6. Intel says that the Klamath tested was a pre-release version, not a production part.
Again, I ask you where is the data? You are the one who has made the claims here so just show us one single benchmark ever published by anyone, anywhere, at any time, for any reason, on the K6. I can't find any.
As the saying goes, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Just show us some simple plain old every day evidence. I can't find any, but you have already been convinced.
As far as I can tell, AMD has managed to convince people such as yourself, but of course many others as well, that they have a fantastic product. I certainly can't deny the profit potential to investors over the short term here. Many are making lots of money on AMD right now, and good for them (and you). But you know that some day the smoke will clear and AMD will have to start delivering on their promises. Perhaps they will, it's possible, perhaps not, that's also possible. AMD is on the verge of bankrupcy, desperate people do desperate things. Any slip and they are dead. When all is said and done, you could end up being right about all this. I however look at the same (missing) evidence and do not share your confidence that AMD is on a roll here.
Perhaps it's time we got back to the subject of making money. My bet is that Intel will drop 5 points when the K6 is finally announced, due to the continued mass hysteria. Look for a way to profit from this. What are your thoughts? Can someone suggest a good strategy to take advantage of this, should it occur? That's what this group is supposed to be about.
