INTERNET--(esecurities.W)--May 27, 1999 - "ThrustMaster and Amicus to Include iEducate in Distance Learning Program at Oregon Graduate Institute"

Hillsboro, Oregon, May 27, 1999 -- ThrustMaster, Inc. (NASDAQ:TMSR)

ThrustMaster, Inc. (NASDAQ: TMSR), today announced that Amicus Interactive has agreed to be the first online education company to implement multi-person voice conferencing and collaboration services to enhance distance learning over the Internet. The companies have agreed to integrate ThrustMaster's iEducate solution in a pilot program beginning June 1999 that will be part of the graduate degree distance learning course curriculum at Oregon Graduate Institute.

Oregon Graduate Institute and the Management in Science and Technology Department are partnering with Amicus Interactive, Inc. to deliver graduate degrees via the Internet. Students are now able to take courses in the Masters of Science degree program without having to physically attend classes at OGI's campus in Beaverton, Oregon. In the distance learning environment, text chat has been the traditional method for students to communicate over the Internet. ThrustMaster believes there is significant interest in Internet voice conferencing and collaboration services in the distance learning education market.

ThrustMaster is developing iEducate, a comprehensive multi-person Internet voice communication, community and collaboration solution designed to enhance the online learning experience. Students will find each other online with a desktop Instant Messaging client, engage in voice conferences with their peers and professor and share documents, transfer information, share a whiteboard, review presentations and discuss their projects.

"We are pleased that Amicus Interactive has agreed to collaborate with ThrustMaster and assist us in the development of our solution targeting the distance learning education market," stated Frank G. Hausmann, President and CEO of ThrustMaster. "In light of this significant opportunity for both ThrustMaster and Amicus, Ron Resnick, our Vice President of Marketing, will be joining Amicus as its new Vice President of Sales and Marketing. With Ron's expertise and knowledge of our WeCanTalk.com product portfolio, we believe we are well positioned to provide innovative ideas and solutions to Amicus for the distance learning education market."

"We will include iEducate in three OGI distance learning courses this summer as part of our pilot program," stated Kevin Jones, Vice President Engineering at Amicus Interactive. "We believe that voice communication over the Internet will significantly enhance the student's experience and help to create a more personal relationship among students and instructors. I am enthusiastic about implementing the iEducate solution. This will differentiate Amicus as one of the first distance education programs implementing Internet voice conferencing technology."
