S- re:"Intel has been selling CPUs for $500 for as long as I can remember. Your sarcasm doesn't change the fact that $100 CPUs is a new business for them, and that the whole pricing scale is collapsing. Nor does it change the fact that there are lots of competitors who are perfectly content to sell CPUs for $100."

and

"If Intel sold all their CPUs at $100, what would the stock be trading at?"

....meanwhile back in the real world...

1. Intel has said publically that ASPs have been stable for several quarters.

2. Intel is still selling CPU's for $500. They even sell some at >$3000 - now that is roughly as new as the $100 thing

3. Nobody appears "content" to sell CPUs - at least not for PCs anyway - for $100.

4. If all Intel's CPUs sold for $100 the stock price would be...let me guess...lower? But that's not the case, is it? (return to item #1)
