Scrapps,

there was an article about 56k modems today in the WSJ. The writer of the article, Walter S. Mossberg, tested x2 many many times and said that he did connect at 60% higher speeds than 28.8kps modem, he said on average he connected at 42.6kps However, the article (at least from my perspective) had a negative twist to it, saying that it never connected at 56kps or even 53kps. He also stated that he tried to test a MOT 56K modem, but MOT would let him use one to test. Thanks to IAN for posting it. Also Bear Stearns report from this mornings says approx. 1 million x2 units should be sold by 3/31/97.
