Another company that is involved in flat panel displays in Photon Dynamics (PHTN). As far as I know, essentially all of their business is the manufacture (and sale!) of machines for inspection (CCD plus software) and repair (laser) of FPDs before final assembly. It is interesting that both AMAT and LRCX have really left the FPD manufacturing arena presumably, as noted by BK, they were making as much money in this market as Amazon does selling books over the internet. Does anyone know if it is because TEL is the dominant player here?
