FYI. I did another insider trading check on IPM this morning and as expected, there is no trading at all for the last year as of this morning.
ALSO, because IPM trades Over The Counter in Canada, it cannot be checked to see what the short position is on this stock. OTC says that shorting IPM is done by the various markermakers through the various brokers involved and that shorting can be done, but it is a decision made by the various Brokers who establish the risk factor and set the amount of cash up front they feel is required for their safety. It also appears that registering your shares would not matter. He seems to think that if a Broker wants to allow shorting of a stock, then you just bring in your cash to cover your possible losses.
Margin is also not allowed on OTC shares, which IPM is at the moment.
On and forward. - Denis
