Your watch, calendar, computer, etc. must be slow. The Pentium III was introduced three months ago, February 28, 1999. Or did you forget how close June was?
As for 30% monthly discounts, prove it. The Pentium III 500 MHz started at about $750 at its introduction. Now it's selling for $460, a 40% drop over three months, or a 15% monthly drop. More importantly, the new 550 MHz speed grade is already out, in volumes, at a starting price of $750.
Seems to me that ASP is holding steady. Looks to me like only one person on this thread is in denial.
