Mystery solved. That K6-3-500 is real, and actually shipping. It looks like it's not going to be announced officially for a while (my gut tells me mid-June), but volume shipments on this current process (which is still quarter micron, I believe, but tweaked up a little) are indeed planned for the vaguely near future. I got some more info on it, but I have to see first if I can throw it all up to ya, and I'm digging for some more info. Also, I presume that though the K6-3-500 is north of $400, it may be affected when it hits volume (perhaps when AMD drops prices across the line next month?) much like the 450 was. Sources inside AMD reportedly remarked "Doh!" when asked about the new Sharptooth part.
