Yes, I remember. I am trying to understand the QA aspects of releasing a totally new beast and supply side issues of the channel a little better.
It appears that OEMs now have enough material to go through their prototype and QA builds. Now the question becomes, how long does it take for them to qualify the final version and how long will it take from the time they say "go" to seeing product at the end of product line. And, from there to reaching the customer (here Dell/Gateways of the world differ from Compaq/IBM/HPs of the world)
