Hey hey.. this is getting to be good reading! Intrigue and research right from the pages of the Saturday Evening Post. Jay, let me pose a question. Northrop Grumman Corp., the nation's fifth-largest defense contractor, said today it would buy a unit of Allegheny Teledyne. Do you think you could have called Northrop a month ago and "confirmed" this if it were a rumor at the time? Of course not. Nor would Allegheny say anything... all you'd see on similar events is some volume activity with news following or no deal. That's the way it works, no guarantees, just rumor and inuendo, a few wins and a thousand stories. I'd recommend you put your money in bonds or a large cap fund and get out of the speculation game.
