Judy,
FWIW, I've owned and traded CSCO since 1991.
In 1994 it hit a high in March and then fell off 50% by July.
It did not regain the March 1994 high until April 1995.
One strategy to consider is holding the stock and writing covered calls.
Using PnF to help out in the timing, this strategy could let you ride the
price both up and down. Covered calls can be used in IRA portfolios.
