Tang,

Nice analysis. I am also more worried about the future of this issue than near term prospects. Technically, one and half more splits, AOL will be dead meat because of 1) high volume of float; 2) devaluation of earning surprise. Sometime in the near future, issue is going to experience a painful haircut like DELL, as the Street hypsters announce that they are shocked that AOL is not able to grow in triple digits yearly. Physics will do its job at that time. I won't be one of those left to hold the bag.

DSL is not as fast as cable, and costs a bit more than cable. I Do have a feeling that T/MSFT will roll out free intenet connection in the future. Was talking to a Wall Street salesman last night and he mentioned that the games on the Street right now is to short drug and nuts. Also heard the rumor that Mdia One refused to talk to AOL because they are not interested in 'inflated stock offers'. It remains to be seen whether even the best nuts can buy something material (that is, companies that make $$$) other than 2rd and 3rd tier nuts.

BTW, do you really think that AOL will have 1000 customers in China?:)
