ok ... well, tried that .. tried it before as well, actually .. Netscape 4.04, so i click View, then Page Source ... page comes up with whole bunch of arcane scribbling on it, but the little ™ thingie just looks the same as it does here .... i'm a little nervous about going beyond that, as while the salesman did show me how to plug this thing in, all he wanted to talk about on his next visit was about how the cheque bounced ... but the Alt 0153 thing from Character Map does seem to work, thanks Tom ... a little clumsy, but i suppose a person could memorise the most used ones .... what i've been using, when not writing a lot of spanish, in which case i use the spanish keyboard in Win95, is Jeffrey's Alt symbols - #reply-1115349 - which i printed out when they worked - they don't work now [in that archived post] because the archive servers don't seem to be able to deal with them .... i don't know why, i wonder if maybe somebody should bring that up on BryanB's thread ..... anyway, thanks guys ....... notatekimarcos™ |
