Let me preface this by saying that this is just my take on the subject, and that I could be wrong.

First of all, I don't think that the second board member is necessarily from the PP company, but rather someone that those investors support. Having said that, it's possible that the reason why it took so long to get Dr. Frankel on the Board was, as I suggested in an earlier post, that the PP investors objected to it, partially because they didn't think much of Dr. Frankel's qualifications, and partially because they would rather have the guy that they support getting a Board seat if anyone was to get one. We don't know what kind of effort was involved in putting this second guy on the Board...the PP investors obviously don't post on SI, and this may have been in motion for a while. Maybe TSIG is adding both Dr. Frankel and the investors' choice to the Board in order to make everyone happy. I'm sure they feel that these are two people who can each make a positive contribution to the future of the company.
