Have to Eat some Crow here. Didn't wait long enough, I guess. After unanswered e-mails for 8 days, I entered Negative Feedback on both.
And guess What? you're right!!!!, Both answered within an hour of feedback. Don't know if e-bay intervened or not.

Have items, tried to withdraw Negative Feedback, restricted as to how much you can do.
