What options JBL?? Exactly what can Russia OR China do to the west that will physically impact us WORSE than it would impact them?? What can we do in kind to "rattle their world"?? (hint: think Baltic States, Muslim parts of Russia, and Azerbijian) Btw, how does the IMF play into this?? Is there anything the Russians want from us since their Rouble was massively devalued and their corrupt oligopoly took off with billions in IMF loan money?? Can they physically invade the US(or anyone else for that matter)?? Whose currency is the default standard in Russia?? The Rouble or the US dollar?? Think it through JBL... we've lived under nuclear threat for 40 years and no one has been stupid enough to launch one yet. Everyone wants to avoid that scenario since we all lose under those rules. Btw, the Russians were bypassed as mediators in favor of the Finnish president (unless I missed something). Chernomyrdin's role has been marginalized as a bit player trying to get something for Russia from some impending deal. The real deal-making is going through the Finnish mediation and no one can accuse the Finns of choosing favorites in this crisis. Regards, Ron
