*OT - Win2000 Microsoft Windows 2000, aka NT5.0 Windows 98 was supposed to be the end of the Win9 series. Win2000 was going to rule. It was going to ship. It was delayed. No surprise. And delayed. No surprise. And then Son_of_Win98 was announced- Big surprise. Win2000 was supposed to merge NT and Windows. It seems to be mired. The longer Win2000 is mired, the longer microsoft Alternatives (like ibm) in the corporate space have to try to grab customers away from Bill. Big contracts, many unit sales. I'm sure there are many people who can flush this story out far better than me. Web
