I also called the company and got an update on the situation :

1) 60 Actua 2110's are being shipped in the 1st Q 97.

2) The Grand Juction plant is now fully operational and gives them a tremendous capacity increase with significantly improved cost efficiency. For example, they can ramp up to 200 units per Q of the Actua 2110 now as demand increases.

3) The SmartStart system is designed for smaller companies that want to enter The stereoligthography market at a lower cost. They would then need to purchase the larger machine if they want increased accuracy.

4) Ciba Geigy holds 21 % of the shares outstanding. This has not changed. It is a long term investment and association between the companies. 3D is very happy with the relationship and with the price/quality of the resin they buy from CG.

They are sending me the current analyst's reports. I know that both AG Edwards and Southwest Securities rate the company a buy. In the past a tremendous amount of momentum playing has occurred in the stock. Now it is gravitating more to the value oriented investor which should provide more stability in the price. This gives us some longcterm perspective on the growth of the company rather than a sky rocket plumment sky rocket plumment situation.
