Broadcast.com (BCST) announced a five year partnership with Level 3 Communications stating that the company will use L3's IP network as the primary distribution channel for Broadcast.com's broadband content. They will also work together to improve media streaming and broadband delivery technologies.

Level 3 Communications and Broadcast.com today entered into a strategic pact that will give the Web media programmer broadband access at favorable pricing. The companies said in a statement that under the terms of the five-year strategic alliance, Broadcast.com would use Level 3's international Internet Protocol network to deliver its audio and video content to customers at reduced fees. In addition, Level 3, an Internet communications company, will use Broadcast.com as its sole provider of Internet broadcasting. - News.com
