Why are you doing this?
I may disagree with some of things steve says, but who can argue his devotion to God? Exactly. None of us. He makes claims about his faith. If he lies, he is, as Pascal said, a coward towards man, and brave towards God; He will be Steve's judge. If he is telling the truth, well, we are fools to call him a liar.
I disagree with the assertion that material wealth is a sign of God's blessings, (take Joseph's time in slavery/prison, Job, David in exile, all the prophets for example), but God gives to whom he gives. In Steve's case it seems to be so, and his faith is that God has given to him for a purpose, and he seeks to fulfill it in faith to the best of his God-given wisdom.
I admire that.
I don't want to take sides, but showing love is more than saying "I love you". That's one sure way to devalue that word. |
