ttosbt...re: charlie rose.. grove basically said the role of the "desk top" has diminished...he described the new devices more home based server, with the portable appliances as ancillary to them...the "cloud" was an interesting analogy of the future...i took this as the computing being done in the "cloud", not the desk top...the most important thing they discussed was cable/wire/wireless distribution systems, both nationally and globally...gives me a strong sense of security when i see grove talk! ............i would like to see "mikey" become more visible, and establish himself as a visionary...as did grove and chambers last night... this am ibd, has an article about computer bundling for consumers, they discuss compusa, compaq and interview gateway...again no dell, as the "perception" is that dell not for consumers..or else why not get dell comments?
