Hi Mark; MMDS is already in the market and has been for several years. LMDS is the same as MMDS just at 28gHz vs 2.6 gHz. This gives LMDS 10x the frequency to get the same gain level. It also allows you to make the antenna much smaller. You would end up with more channels and more band width. The draw back is that the components to make the unit would be a little more expensive because the usage of LMDS components is much less. The component cost my be offset with price of the antenna. I think the goal is to increase the amount of channels. I understand the 1st LMDS units are being installed now! Cal Amp currently has about 20 different MMDS products and is in the process of releaseing some new MMDS units now. Some one told me earlier that the reason for the 1.50 rise in price on the stock was because earnings are due APR 15 but not to expect much. Happy hunting! W.S.T.
