larry...bearishness no, reality yes,...long term dell more than a $35 stock....but how much more????.....quoting buzz word chapter and verse from "direct from dell", sometimes gives a warm and fuzzy feeling to many, trust and vision great, but you need to be "visible" or else the "vision" can't see......too many ceo's up front, charlie rose show last night perfect example...makes me want to get back into csco, and increase my intc position...why, because chambers and grove exuded confidence in their ability to not just follow the future, but be the architects of same...
dell has a perception problem, even if he is sheer genius, but when even a grove discusses the demise of the desk top, would you not think the best desk top producer would be out front speaking chapter and verse of home servers, portable appliances instead of saying we are gaining market share and we are winning...winning what????...
in spite of postings on this thread top line growth at the expense of bottom line is not and never will be sound move.......much better to grow bottom line, at stagnate revenues...business hasn't changed, in spite of how the new age thinks...
let me pose this question: if i would double your salary, and halve your net or take home....would it make you ecstatic.....or say i cut your pay by a quarter and give you net a quarter more????
which would you or anyone on the thread choose...no different in business, just on a larger scale... |
