Off topic - daytrading

Your post should be required reading for anyone who wants to begin daytrading. I've always been very suspicious of 'easy money' and 'big money', especially when the barriers to entry were quite low.

Sorta reminds me of the guys I used to work with who spent their evenings and weekends at the horse races. The next day, they'd be at work with a big roll of bills and wide grins basking in the glow of good times at the track, and smugly chuckling to themselves about the rest of us 'fools' who choose to work for our every penny. I once asked these guys "If you make so much on the horses, why do you live in a dump and drive a wreck?" This didn't augment my popularity!

I've been lucky over the years. I'm not fooled into thinking I've some 'special smarts' or 'special insights' at all. I've made mistakes, often repeatedly, before learning. Sometimes the 'simple' way is the best. With Microsoft, pig-headedness has paid off. There seems an endless parade of doomsayers following this company. If I paid any attention to them, my stock would have been sold at $2 for a healthy trading profit. My cost base is $1.20!

Gotta go -- other threads await, PW.
