larry..in spite of chiding, i don't mind your comments or those of anyone else...the daily movement of a stock is a "perception" game, the long term movement is a "reality" game...both a "game" and sometimes naught to do with fundamentals, which always win out...but the question is how large of a win will it be for the investor....
i've read "direct from dell" over and over...know the "buzzwords"..but one important thing missing....any reference to "shareholders"....great to talk of "integration", "trust", "culture", "vision","hierarchy"...but ouichi penned all these words almost twenty years ago, deming spoke of qc circles fifty years ago...this is a strategic inflection point(credit grove), in which "silence of dell" makes me feel uneasy....dell will be a $55 stock....but how much more???? a responsibility other than "what we got in the box" is owed to the shareholders...foolish to live on "don't worry, be happy, keep your eyes to the skies" ceo direction....
question the "true believers"..."what is the purpose of the nashville expansion, what will it cost, what will they make there, and how and when will it impact the bottom line????"........what has "mikey" publically said about this expansion??????
i am not bearish, just don't fall lock step into "blind faith" from a stranger....even "mikey" |
