RealNetworks Chief Engineer Joins ISEE3D Internet Board May 28, 1999 08:30 AM BURNABY, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 28, 1999--ISEE3D Inc. formerly International Telepresence (Canada) Inc., is pleased to announce the addition of Alan Lippman, current Chief Engineer of RealNetworks Inc., to its Internet Advisory Board.
Mr. Lippman will replace Gary Oberman who has become President and C.O.O. of the company.

Mr. Lippman, Chief Engineer of RealNetworks Inc., has been with RealNetworks, the world leader in streaming media, since the first beta of Real Audio 1.0 in 1995. Since leading development of the RealAudio 1.0(r) and RealAudio 2.0 codecs he has been constantly involved with improving the quality of streamed audio and video over the web. His most recent work has been on Scalable Video technology, available in the latest release of the RealProducer(tm) Plus G2.
Mr. Lippman graduated in 1986 from Brown University, with a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics. His academic papers ranged from work on speech recognition and image processing to his 1995 co-authored paper, "Non-parametric multivariate density estimation: A comparative study," which received the IEEE signal processing society best paper award. He is currently a member of the IEEE Signal Processing Society Technical Committee on Multimedia Signal Processing.
