Yes, it does seem that a change in the object code vs. the source code might prove to be a much easier fix, but I don't think that all Y2K "fixers" are (or can)take that approach. Otherwise why would some of the major banks and businesses pay hundreds of millions of $ t have the problem fixed? That alone will show up on the bottom line soon and have an effect on the market. I guess my point is that whether or not there is a real problem I think that the market will go because people are worried about it and the market valuation. In that case, will micros hold up? Or is time to bail when things go south?
