Ed, I think MSD is trying to dispel rumours of PC's early demise. In a couple situations (a keynote address and an interview) during the past 2 months, I've heard him talk about the appliances as an addition to the home PC not a replacement thereof. He also talks about taking 25% of a growing pie within about 3-5 years. He doesn't paint as clear a picture of the PC's evolving role as Andy did on Charlie Rose last night, but I think his vision is similar if not identical. The selloff is good. It gets rid of most of the weakest hands building an extremely strong foundation for Dell's next spike up. The earnings growth remains solid. The stock price will come for the patient. Sold some July 35 Puts yesterday. These I will either let expire worthless or accept the shares. Somehow the idea of owning Dell at a net price of 31 3/8 is appealing. :-) Ian.
