Sandintoes,

Jon's right, as the saying goes "If you can't afford to lose it, don't use it"

However I think I know how you feel. I rode this all the way up and then bought on margin (against my wife's MSFT holdings) on the way down (last at 126). She's not a happy camper! (First and last time I'll use margin) Kicking myself for getting caught up in all this "irrational exuberance", ignoring the signs that the market was due for a breather and not taking profits when I had the chance. My wife's wanted to kick me several times in the last couple weeks I'm sure.

With all the news re earnings/mergers/acquisitions at GNET I didn't think we were going to fall this far, figured there was more upside as opposed to downside. Doubled my money in RNWK, got out, and watched it go another $100. I guess the greed factor kicked in with GNET, along with enthusiasm for their future.

I, along with many of us here I think, have watched many friends and family who have have never bought stocks before suddenly buying up internet stocks like crazy in the hopes of easy money. The comparisons to the 1920's are scary though I think the circumstances today are quite different.

Anyhow, fwiw hang in there. Nothing's changed at GNET except alot of good news. It's still a good long term buy.

Interesting article comparing top 10 Jan/96 vs Jan/99:

209.185.130.250

Cheers!
