BTW Iggy:

Space-time travel "outlandish"?

Regarding my previous Timberline, Oregon post, you completely missed the points of the story.

First, it was a story filled with puns.

Second, it was supposed to be humorous.

Third, it was a lumberjack community that suffered the loss of the trees.

And fourth -- I shall respond to the irrationality of your post back to me regarding Timberline:

1. "Old growth forests" *should* be harvested. Quickly and thoroughly.
2. The rational mind can eventually conquer all of nature and all problems created by irrational minds.
3. We (Man) should shape nature to conform to our vision. We should master terraforming on a planetary scale, weather control, cloning and the creation of life and new species.

Furthermore, I predict that in less than two generations all "extinct" life-forms will be "resurrected" at will in the laboratory.

4. It is environmentalists, animal rights activists, statist-leaning politicians, certain university professors, some members of the media and others of their ilk that want to "lead" men back into the Dark Ages.
5. Your "rationality" is patently irrational.
6. Nature's greatest "achievement" is the human mind -- a way for nature to take control of itself and dominate creation, if you will.
