As to Wendy's e-mail, my take (admittedly optimistic) is that no one at EDIG wants to let any cats out of the bag just yet. I'd bet that a query as to who co-presented with EDIG would draw a deafening silence in response. Surely by now the OEM(s) are already defined, due to the lead times in manufacturing, distribution, etc. This presentation to one of the premier IT/techie mags might well be the first shot in the impending battle for the consumers' hearts and minds. Methinks a promotional blitz is only a week or so away, starting at the trade and gadgeteer's (Popular Science, etc.) level, then broadening out to the general public over the late summer and fall. Having worked for AT&T (pre-LU spinoff) in the past, I know that they never do anything halfway. The limited info being provided by EDIG at this time makes me believe that something is definitely afoot.
