The company today announced a new product that will be shown at the Comdex show in Chicago on june 3rd. The product is a workstation module that can be placed inside a pentium pc, making the pc both a sparc workstation and a pentium pc running windows. Ross gave the example that you could develop Java applets on solaris with this machine and test them on netscape/windows on the same machine. the module is comparible to a sparc 20 workstation for the price of a low end workstation according to Ross. I think the model to follow with this company is one where they go for higher revenues growth with lower margin products in the motherboards, add-on modules.
