Wit Capital is a shoddy operation. All lurkers and potential Wit customers please read before signing up. I was going to wait until this weekend to post, but after reading eDollar's post I decided to post for the protection of any would-be Wit customers.

I have placed two orders with them and made changes to the initial order. They screwed up both of them. Both were executed well after the change was made AND I did not receive notification until the following day. Not only that, but they are now ignoring my emails, faxes and phone calls to get this resolved.

I called their CCO, Ken Lenskold at 212-253-4435 after their "little people" would not call me back. This was last Friday, and he said he'd call me back Monday with an answer to what went wrong. Well, it's now a week later and he has ignored my two follow-up calls I made on Tuesday and Thursday. It looks like I've been screwed. I am now transferring my account.

Do not open an account until you call the NY office of the NASD and ask for a copy of any grievances filed against Wit. It appears that I am not the only one who's had problems. You can reach the NASD at 212-858-4000. Again, for your own protection, get the report before opening an account. What they did to me is not right and I don't want anyone else to get treated like I did.
