FWIW Here is a Matrox M400 review I stumbled upon (1 week old) from Anandtech that reaffirmed where 3DFX stands with the competition on "real world" benchmarks...on top!

Look at most of the graphs and the conclusions at the end. Kinda nice to see. I think 3DFX timed the V3 perfectly. When 32bit and 32 meg will actually matter in our everyday computing lives ... we'll see the V4. Kudos to 3DFX!
