The State of Nevada and MatriDigm Corporation today announced that the State of Nevada has contracted with MatriDigm to provide them with Year 2000 conversion services. The MatriDigm Advanced Process 2000 (MAP2000(SM)), a highly automated factory conversion service, will be used to complete the find, fix and test portion of the project. MAP2000 was chosen by the State of Nevada after they tested that the MatriDigm process had successfully converted a portion of the State's production applications. "After a great trial-ran with MAP2000, it was very clear that we wanted MatriDigm involved in our conversion effort," said Marlene Lockard, Director of Department of Information Services. "The criticality of our applications combined with the sheer magnitude of the project requires top-notch accuracy as well as a way of speeding up the very time-consuming task of conversion. MatriDigm offers us a real solution that will potentially save us millions of dollars." Kenneth F. Titow, President and COO of MatriDigm, commented on the relationship, "The State of Nevada has been wonderful to work with over the course of our beta test and pilot programs and we are very excited about continuing our relationship with them. Their professional approach to testing has validated the accuracy of MatriDigm's technology. I also want to thank the State of Nevada for being such a visible and accessible client throughout the initial stages of the conversion project." MatriDigm expects to contract almost exclusively through technology associates such as Zitel (Nasdaq: ZITL) and BRC (Nasdaq: BRCP). Other technology associate agreements are currently being negotiated and several are in executive review. MAP2000 Release 1.0 rapidly finds, fixes and tests all date-related fields for IBM batch COBOL code. As Previously announced, additional functional capabilities in future releases of MAP2000 will be available in the coming weeks. MatriDigm's approach to Year 2000 conversion is based on the ability to automatically extract and then comprehensively describe the inputs, outputs, date fields and business rules of an application. MatriDigm's highly automated factory approach greatly speeds up the find, fix and test portion of a Year 2000 project, dramatically reducing the time and resources companies require to convert their applications. |
