That might mean our stock prices will soar. After all if there will
be a fab destroyed here, a fab out of commission there, fewer operating fabs everywhere, ASPs might go up (LSI signs those pricing contracts so it may not be a boon to LSI) and the survivors rake in the dough...

Remember that fire in the far east some years back and what it did to DRAM prices (even if they used it as an excuse there were several tens of millions made during that 'emergency').

So if there is a Y2K snafu while the semi-cycle is booming maybe the American companies or whoever will use it an excuse to bump up prices...
