Regarding whether RDRAM is meaningful for cell phones,
I am not up to date on dynamic RAM technologies,
but in cell phones, Low Power consumption
is the name of the game.

I always thought dynamic RAM ran at higher current drains
relative to static RAM (general statement), 'cuz
you need refresh clocking on DRAMs,
and that translates to power consumed.

Static designs generally save power over dynamic designs.

Can someone (a HW designer) comment specifically
on power consumption?
