hahaha...funny example..The amount of Bull intel was throwing out a few years ago about merced was amazing...the performance is not even close of what they promised 3 years ago( Look at HP going with new PA RISC chips on the high end..deviation from original plans I actually have a product road map from 3 years ago.what fools) and hear me now...the Binary compatibility with 80X86..will never happen...they'll B.S. their way out of that one too..! So new applications have to be recompiled and tested and sometimes rewritten...not where you wanna be ..New OS..New chipset.. New apps..not a pretty picture to have to go against IBM and SUN. AND by definition Merced is a RISC based processor..for those of us who keep talking about proprietary RISC Iron...!
