I'm taking a breather from TA books for a while, but I will buy "Trading for a Living" next.

I like your analogy of M.A. being an average vote on the markets opinion on a stock.

Unfortunately, the last TA book I bought was "New Concepts in Technical Trading Systems" by Welles Wilder. This is mostly telling you the formulas for his T.A. systems and pages and pages of worksheets. It was written when a Hewlett Packard programable calculator was cutting edge. Now we have T.A. on the internet with automatic computations. This book was awful and useless.
