"no [upside] forfeit" as the stock accelerates on the upside, the rate of absolute point decline in the put decelerates. as you keep rolling into a higher strike, you have more risk on the downside (assuming an equal number of contracts). that you do this on an issue you don't mind owning doesn't eliminate risk of a price decline. regards
