Tuck,

Spending a couple million on advertising would erase any profits for the quarter and the stock price would suffer dramatically. As I posted earlier after the Shareholders' meeting this type of expense has its place and time. Dr. Harari is working on the important recognition by industry leaders such as Nikon, Casio, Kodak, RCA and now Lucent. I believe they call recurring revenues from this type of arrangement "turns" business. The acceptance of SanDisk as the highest quality CF producer is also a recognition without a price tag. It gives the brand name much more credibility than an advertising campaign. Once digital camera acceptance and market penetration increases it may be a more opportune time to invest in some ads. At that point we may have the Lexar marketing group on our side!

As far as acquisitions are concerned, that wasn't made public at the Shareholders' meeting. I think they post takeover targets in the employee cafeteria. Like I said, all we got out of the whole deal was an egg salad sandwich. You can come next year and we can go "dutch" on a pizzaburger and a YooHoo.
