Oracle Corp., Reston, Va., was awarded on May 27, 1999, a $9,757,710 fixed-price/delivery order contract for ten network licenses for Oracle Products: 22,800 Oracle Lite; 7,340 Oracle 8 Personal Edition; Oracle 8 - Enterprise Edition and Advanced Networking Option as well as onsite technical support and associated maintenance for 14 months in support of the Global Combat Support System (GCSS) - Army. Work will be performed at Ft. Lee, Va., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 25, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 17, 1999. The U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command Acquisition Center, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (DAAB15-99-A-1002).
