Yep, I have a policy of not buying stocks that I think smell.
This has resulted on loss of potential profits, but I feel better about it and I have also watched some spectacular crash & burns. For instance, I knew about KCAP long before the pump, passed, and watched the fall. Since the fall occurred in about three hours (while I was at work), I would have lost all of my investment that day. I personally think STRU is in the same kind of category, and that is why I have never bought or shorted it.
I ask again, do you think that you can/will hold this stock for the next two years. If you really believe in the company you will say yes, if you are trading on or pumping momentum you will say yes. If you are smart, you will say no. |
