Robert you are certainly not stepping on toes or bursting any bubbles. I hope I didn't give you that impression. My point was that right now the newbe's shouldn't be investing at all.

Herman is giving us a chance to get a hand holding experience of placing covered calls. I don't know how you started but probably someone held your hand through that first trade ... the realization of risk was vague and came more real later.

Those of us lurking on this thread to see how it's done are not yet ready to put our money on the line. So you see, your empathy will be needed when Herman completes this series of option trades. Certainly, you are right ... never intended to imply that risk isn't very real. Herman has tried to say it is risky, but that the risk is less than buying and selling the stock itself.
